Nursing Assistants

- We have opportunities for everyone: full-time, part-time, or just a few hours per week depending on your availability for work
- All positions work rotating shifts including rotating holidays and rotating weekends
- Paid 7-day training course
- $16.74 per hour+ depending on experience and education (performance pay raises available, after hire)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication skills and excellent customer service skills required
- Typing, general computer skills required
- Successful completion of training course, required
HIGHLY PREFERRED:
- Certified Nursing Assistants, preferred
- EMT or Paramedics, preferred
- First year nursing program clinical completion, preferred
Purpose:
Provide routine patient care and support according to policies and procedures. Assure outstanding patient care is maintained at all times. Provide direct patient care as instructed by the RN.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the health care team
- Foster productive working relationships with patients and colleagues
- Assure equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate department, when necessary
- Respond to call lights and telephones, distribute meals and transport patients
- Provide direct patient care as directed by the RN including all activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting and ambulating patients
- Complete safety checks, ensure that patient rooms are clean and organized, change bed linens, empty hampers, keeping hallways clear of equipment
- Order supplies, set up equipment and stock patient rooms and unit supply areas
- Deliver patient nourishments and distribute patient mail
- Assist with point of care testing vital signs, telemetry monitor application/reapplication, and specimen collection
- Document medical records according to established procedures
