Salary:

We invite you to join Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation, a Missouri Community Action Agency, as part of our expanding adult education program.  The CNA Instructor will teach curriculum designed to build skills and prepare students for the Missouri State CNA licensing exam. The applicant must be mission driven and customer service oriented. 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Builds knowledge and develop clinical skills aimed at assisting students to obtain the CNA license.
  • Maintains accurate records on all students, including but not limited to attendance records, schedules and course requirements regarding hours of instruction and content
  • Evaluates and documents students’ progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained
  • Communicates effectively with students, and all those affiliated with the course.
  • Provides 75 hours of instructional training for the basic CNA course and a minimum of 16 hours of supervised on-the-job training.

 


 Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2+ years nursing experience
  • 1+ year of experience in the provision of long-term care facility services within the last 10 years.
  • Registered Nurse License in Missouri or have a temporary permit from the Missouri State Board of Nursing and not subject to any current disciplinary action (or) shall hold a multi-state or single state RN license from a jurisdiction that is party to the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Shall successfully complete a Nursing Assistant Instructor workshop by a certifying agency using qualified instructors.
  • Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting
  • An individual that has been previously disqualified as an instructor would have to receive written approval from the department before being considered.
  • Valid Missouri Driver’s License
  • COVID-19 vaccination required prior to employment
