Software Development Internship (For University Students in Palestine Only)

Position Summary:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for university students pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related field to gain practical experience through an unpaid Software Development Internship. This internship is designed to fulfill the practical experience requirements set by universities, where students earn course credit for their participation. As an intern, you will have the chance to work on real-world software development projects, enhance your technical skills, and learn from experienced professionals. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the software development field.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the development team to assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications.

1. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software quality.
2. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices.
3. Support the team in troubleshooting and debugging software issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
4. Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including user manuals and guides.
5. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and programming languages.
6. Contribute to the planning and execution of software development projects, ensuring timely delivery.
7. Assist in the implementation of software enhancements and updates based on user feedback and requirements.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, testers, and product managers, to achieve project goals.
9. Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
   

Requirements:

1. Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Strong knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
3. Basic understanding of software development concepts, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
4. Familiarity with web development frameworks, databases, and version control systems is a plus.
5. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug code.
6. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
8. Demonstrated commitment to learning and a strong desire to develop technical skills.
9. Availability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week for the duration of the internship, or as required by the university.
10. Previous software development or coding experience, such as personal projects or participation in hackathons, is preferred but not required.
