Radiology Technician

Location: Pinon Health Center, Navajo Service Rte 41, Pinon, AZ 86510
Pay Range: $42-45/hour +$29.05 / hour Stipends
Tentative Start Date: 07/01/2024
Contract Length: 6-month commitment, 1 year ideal
Work Schedule: Regular work hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
One-hour lunch break (midpoint of the shift)
Pinon Health Center is closed on Federal Holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
• Position patients and equipment, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort.
• Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitor the video display to adjust density or contrast.
• Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
• Produce diagnostic images, report important information to the Physician, and update patients' records.
• Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.

Radiologic Technologist Requirements:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in radiology.
• XR License to practice radiography.
• Valid CPR and BLS Certifications
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Tech or related

Additional Information:

• Work hours beyond 5:00 p.m. may be needed to meet patient care needs.
