About us:

Prestige Wine Imports (PWI) is the exclusive importer to USA for a distinguished and diverse portfolio of high-quality Italian wines sourced from leading appellations including Trentino, Sicily, Veneto, Tuscany and Piedmont.

Position Overview:

  • The Business Analyst will have responsibility for Business Intelligence and Pricing that drives performance of the entire PWI portfolio by assisting on operational projects and data driven decisions.
  • Working collaboratively across the Sales and Administration teams, this position will be a thought leader providing insights and analysis for senior leadership, sales, marketing and customer teams.
  • PWI team member that reports to CFO with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing

-maintenance and proactive management of pricing software (Price 2.0) in accordance with PWI Brand Standards and financial objectives.

-Investigate, analyze, and correct pricing action issues, at the macro level.

-Establish and maintain visibility on pricing in non-reporting markets.

-Monthly/Quarterly profitability reporting.

Business Intelligence

-Creation, compilation, and publication of presentation decks for, including but not limited to, all business reviews, executive meetings, and sales.

-Produce and publish category reviews (highlighting PWI performance) via syndicated data partner (Nielsen).

-Determine capabilities and applications for existing data/software, Byzzer and AC Nielsen IQ across distributor sales, national account, and marketing teams.

-Conduct sales and macro trend research to identify - market trends, competitor activities and insights to highlight opportunities for growth and inform business decisions.

-Monthly Depletion reporting with analysis.

Business Planning and Execution

-Produce and maintain effective automated business reviews utilizing relevant software, as well as facilitate annual planning templates for key distributor and national account customer teams.

-Portfolio Growth Strategy - thought partner with PWI leadership team to identify market opportunities through existing portfolio and/or potential innovation.

-Input corporate and supplier goals and programs into designated software programs.

-Produce and publish quarterly reporting for Sales Bonus program. Consolidate Sales input to demand forecasting.


Performance Measures:

· Maintain integrity of PWI pricing within Pricing 2.0, and Brand Standards guidance.

· Develop and maintain key business reporting for Monthly Leadership Meeting, Quarterly Business Reviews etc.

· Maintenance and timely distribution of canned and ad hoc reports.

· Tracking and reporting of major distributor programs.

· Strong 360 feedback (distributors, accounts, cross-functional partners, management, and team members)


Preferred Location: Remote



Skill Set and Requirements:

· Minimum 3 years of experience in a business analyst role (Wine and Spirits/Beverage industry preferred)

· BS/BA required

· Experience with syndicated data partner (Nielsen) preferred

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

· Strong analytical and strategic skills

· Complex problem-solver (create and evaluate options then execute)

· Pricing knowledge
