As an independently licensed health professional, the Physician provides direct patient care services for LSU Health System, assures proper compliance with all policies and regulations, and oversees direct patient services at the clinic level. The incumbent works cooperatively with State and local Parish Boards of Health, civic groups, officials, and community partners. Additionally, the incumbent adheres to the highest standards of medical practice, ethics and professionalism at all times while he/she directs and coordinates activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
