Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Fosston, MN company as they search for a Maintenance Coordinator to join the thriving team. This is a full-time position and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm (may change based upon business needs). The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment. This position functions as a lead and will have some people management related responsibilities. Position Overview:
- Identify safety issues.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC motors, heating and cooling systems, and forklifts.
- Repairs and maintains equipment that operates primarily on the basis of mechanical principles.
- Inspect equipment, structures or material to identify errors, problems, and/or cause.
- Uses either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes, including PLC’s.
- Supervise and direct maintenance employees.
- Basic electrical and maintenance duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills:
- AAS Degree or higher preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience and/or training.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
- Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or law.
- Must have negative pre-employment and/or subsequent drug/alcohol test results.
- Regularly attends work on time and as scheduled.
- Contacts management/designee when delayed, sick or otherwise unable to be at work as scheduled.
- Displays a positive and respectful demeanor at all times towards management and fellow coworkers and maintains a positive company image.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as work within a team environment.
- Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating with and assisting coworkers as needed.
- Demonstrates ability to work under pressure, in stressful situations and with frequent interruptions.
- Adapts well to change.
- Utilize computer knowledge (email, Microsoft programs, etc.).
