Job Description: Note: Medical assistants who has training in both front and back office but will primarily be in the front. As always, the position does require working at least one Saturday a month. EPIC experience and peds experience preferred. The Medical Assistant II will work under the direction of licensed medical professionals and performs a variety of clerical and patient care duties to assist practitioners and other members of health care team. Provides appropriate care to patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner, within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice Assists the patients care team in implementing the medical plan of care Job Qualifications: High school diploma or GED certificate Current CPR Certification Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program Requires at minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care environment as a Medical Assistant Proficiency with an electronic medical records (EMR) system (preferably Epic) Demonstrated ability to room patients, take and accurately document vital signs, administer injections, and maintain medical records Optimum team player must be able to multi-task and consistently practice positive patient relations and customer service Education: High School
