The site quality manager will supervise the resources and activities of the site quality management system, supplier quality, quality control, metrology and quality engineering. The site quality manager is a key leadership position on the plant leadership team.As a Quality Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Working with the business and lab partners to develop, lead and resource key quality priorities.Directing supervision and development of the Prairie du Chien quality team, including quality systems, analytical forensics laboratory and quality engineering.Developing and monitoring operational performance of the site level Quality Management System (QMS) to meet the plant and business objectives and comply with relevant global requirements.Establishing and driving, through a culture of continuous improvement, objectives for prevention of quality non-conformances and deviations, reduced variation in product and process, improved customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across the site.Site Management Representative with responsibility and authority to ensure quality system requirements are effectively established and effectively maintained.Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Four (4) years of combined manufacturing, quality, laboratory and/or production environment experience within a private, public, government or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Direct experience with audits and investigationsBachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institutionQuality or Regulatory leadership experiencePrior supervision or leadership experienceProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and create excellent collaborationAbility to lead internal and external audit activitiesSix Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experienceChange Management experience of programs with significant strategic importanceDemonstrated skills in customer experience managementWork location: 3M Prairie du Chien PlantTravel: May include up to 10% domestic travelRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
