Are you a highly motivated individual with a passion for building relationships and finding solutions? We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team in the Lumber & Building Materials industry. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in promoting our products and services to potential customers. You will have the opportunity to develop new business opportunities, build long-term client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our organization. Responsibilities


1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales/profit targets and objectives.

2. Generate new leads through various channels, including cold calls, networking events, referral, and permit tracking services.

3. Conduct value-added product presentations and demonstrations for existing and potential clients.

4. Promote and sell building materials to existing and potential customers to achieve company goals.

5. Understand blueprints and phases of project construction.

6. Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations that will increase market share.

7. Negotiate and close sales deals.

8. Collaborate with sales coordinators and other internal departments to provide best-in-class customer experiences from opportunity planning to project completion.

9. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.

10. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues (open orders, credits, returns, vendor errors, etc.) in a timely manner.

11. Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

12. Prepare detailed account development plans, sales reports, and forecasts to track performance.

13. Plan, track, and manage sales and customer relationship activities in available CRM tools.

Requirements:

· Proven track record in outside sales, preferably in the lumber & building materials industry.

· Strong internal and external communication and negotiation skills.

· Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

· Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.

· Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, POS, and CRM software.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to conduct client visits.

· Organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
