Are you a seasoned financial expert ready to ensure our business operates efficiently and compliantly from a financial standpoint? Join IAB’s Financial Operations team as the Controller and become a key player in directing financial transactions, enforcing policies, and providing invaluable financial insights to senior leadership.

What You'll Do:

Accounting Operations:

  • Provide oversight for all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.

  • Facilitate the use of CRMs and various other company applications and integrate software into accounting processes and procedures.
  • Perform technical accounting issue research and resolution as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Maintain the general ledger to the highest accounting standards.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Manage relationships with external accountants/auditors and support annual filing processes.
  • Manage financial reporting and documents.
  • Assist with organizational financial decisions.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Direct the preparation and distribution of annual 1099 forms.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of three (Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivables, Senior Accountant, and Accounts Payables Coordinator).
  • Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members.

Internal Controls:

  • Ensure adequate internal controls are maintained to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Set and enforce compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial processes.

Who We're Looking For:

  • CPA or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong systems analytical skills.
  • A willingness to be hands-on when needed, but also possess the ability to delegate responsibilities and supervise staff.
  • Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy of financial records and reconciliations.
  • Experience using advanced excel functions such as xlookups, sumifs, and pivot tables to effectively summarize and manage large and complex datasets.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, employee expense reimbursement systems, Stripe processing, SalesForce, ADP, and Tableau.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other departments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
