DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Aging Case Aide 2 in the Community Services Department at the Area Agency on Aging, you will be responsible for coordinating health and wellness programs in the Active Adult Centers. Assist the Senior Center Director 3 and Active Adult Center Managers to ensure provided services are within compliance of evidence-based standards and requirements. This position affords the opportunity to visit Active Adult Centers to interface with participants and provide valuable information regarding services for which consumers are eligible. You will be responsible for registering consumers for program participation, completing class evaluations, surveys, and data entry required by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Part-time employment, 25 hours/week.
  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Aging Case Aide 1; or
  • Two years of public contact work, including one year in a human services program; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Luzerne County. If no eligible candidates who live within Luzerne County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
