REPORTS TO: Senior Creative Manager, Photo/Video

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Reporting to the Senior Creative Manager, Photo/Video the Stylist is responsible for the product preparation and on-set styling of Five Below photo shoots. As part of our image capture team, you will ensure that all styling is consistent with the Five Below point of view, style guides, and that productivity goals are met. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to understand both merchandise requirements and Five Below target customer. Staying on top of trends is your passion, and a curiosity for what makes Five Below and our product fun and unique is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and style merchandise with an editorial eye, while reflecting the Five Below identity and target customer
• Execute styling for a wide variety of products to Five Below quality and brand standards taking direction and feedback from Senior Creative Manager, Photo/Video based on planned shoot strategy
• Work closely with the Content Operations Specialist - Samples during the production process of shoots to ensure all requested samples are received and collaborate on problem solving when sample issues arise
• Organize, prep (unboxing, cleaning, steaming) and stage product before shoots
• Create proper look, feel and environment to make sure products are represented accurately based on style direction and any applicable style guides
• Assist Senior Creative Manager, Photo/Video with design of tabletop and set builds
• Ensure products and sets are camera ready for shoot day
• Research competitors and products in preparation for each shoot and share insights with Senior Creative Manager, Photo/Video and Photographer
• Collaborate with merchants to understand key product feature and trends to be conveyed
• Manage time and schedules appropriately and collaborate with the on-set production team (art director, photographers, sample coordinator, and producer), and Category Manager to achieve daily production goals
• Assist in pre-production, prop shopping, prop maintenance and shot lists

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in an art related field or fashion merchandising, or 2 plus years of experience in a photo studio, retail merchandising or a related field
• Strong grasp of apparel and home decor, fabrics, color, and matching
• Experience prop styling for editorial or retail print, web and/or TV production/photo shoots
• Experience with set props and staging a plus
• Exceptional fashion and styling sense with a proven ability to stay on top of trends

• Passion for youth culture and social media
• Ability to carry out creative processes in a fast-paced production environment
• Team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative thinker with problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to process high volumes of workflow
• Ability to prioritize, plan and execute
