Job Title: Teacher for Visually Impaired
Location:Startup, WA
Job Type: Part-Time; 15-20 hours/week
Requirements:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments, in collaboration with other members of the educational team and families.
• Provide direct instruction in areas such as orientation and mobility, braille literacy, assistive technology, and daily living skills.
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet the unique learning needs of students with visual impairments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification/licensure in Visual Impairment from the state of Washington (or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe).
• Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired, preferably in an educational setting.
