We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming academic year. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, collaborating with colleagues, and working closely with parents and support staff to ensure each student's success. Join us in making a difference in the lives of exceptional learners and helping them succeed both academically and personally.

Job Description:

  • Fulltime (37.5hours per week)
    • Onsite, Monday-Friday
    • 2024-2025school year
    • Pay is dependent on district's salary schedule
  • Permanent placement
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on students' strengths, challenges, and developmental levels.
  • Design and deliver instructional activities that target academic, communication, social, and life skills development.
  • Use evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions to support students with autism in achieving their educational objectives.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to student support.
  • Utilize assistive technology and visual supports to enhance learning experiences and facilitate communication.
  • Implement behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching methods as needed to meet individualized goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required
  • California licensure in Special Education
