Special Education Teacher | Franklin Grove, IL | Full time hours

Location: Franklin Grove, IL

Job Description: Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Franklin Grove, IL. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their academic and social development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring alignment with state standards and student goals
• Deliver direct instruction in core academic subjects, adapting teaching strategies and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create inclusive learning environments and promote student success
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress, using data to inform instructional decisions and modify teaching approaches as needed
• Provide support and accommodations to students during classroom instruction and assessments, ensuring access to the curriculum
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment, promoting student engagement, self-confidence, and independence
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior, in compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Special Education teaching license or certification in the state of Illinois
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
