New School Year - Special Education Teacher Contract Position

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions within school districts located in the Lafayette, AL area for the new school year. Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education issued by the state of Alabama
• Knowledge of local and state regulations governing special education services
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Providing direct instruction to students with special needs, including academic, social, and behavioral support
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and other support staff
• Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities
• Conducting ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Collaborating with school-based teams to support the inclusion of students with disabilities in general education settings
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and participation in accordance with state and federal regulations
