Job Description

6 Month contract to hire

Must Haves:

2-10 years of related experience
High School Diploma or GED
Experience machining the Alum, Stainless Steel, Steel, and Inconel or Titanium
Experience running CNC lathes, CNC Mills, Fadal, HAAS, Mazaks, or Okuma (machines)

Plusses:

Technical or Military School Training

Day to Day:

A client in Huntsville, AL is seeking several CNC Machinist who will be responsible for producing replacement metal parts, shaping new parts, and operating standard machine tools.

Other job responsibilities:

Producing replacement parts and new parts in making repairs of metal parts of mechanical equipment
Interpreting written instructions and specifications
Planning and laying out of work
Using a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Setting up and operating standard machine tools
Shaping of metal parts to close tolerances
Making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds of machining
Selecting standard materials, parts, and equipment required for this work and fitting/assembling parts into mechanical equipment
