Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a chemical plant environment operating on a 24/7 schedule. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining all mechanical equipment within the plant. This role may require rotating on-call status and working night or weekend shifts. With a pay rate of $32-$39/hr.

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain various mechanical equipment, including pumps, agitators, fans, blowers, mechanical seals, and sealing devices.
- Install and modify piping systems and lines, ensuring proper alignment and functioning of valves, vessels, filters, and exchangers.
- Perform structural, construction, painting, concrete work, insulation, and light sheet metal tasks as required.
- Learn and apply proper methods for equipment and safety inspections, conducting defect inspections, and documenting repairs in the CMMS system.
Requirements:
- Ability to pass routine physical examinations and drug tests.
- Proficient in lifting and controlling a minimum of 50-pound loads, as well as navigating various physical environments, including climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolds, etc., in all weather conditions.
- Skilled in operating power tools, torches, welders, cutters, forklifts, boom lifts, and basic hand tools, as well as measurement and test equipment.
- Self-motivated individual with a strong emphasis on quality and safety, possessing effective verbal and written communication skills.
