JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Instructor - Performance Management Coaching Course (PMCC) Instructor
Location: Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, AL/Remote

Type: Full Time/Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, based on course needs

Job Summary: Deliver PMCC instruction with the Civilian Leadership Development School (CLDS) at the Eaker Center to provide civilian undergraduate and professional continuing education and workforce development integrated with the Total Force.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-year online instruction experience at the undergraduate level or military equivalent using locally approved LMS (e.g., MS Teams, Canvas or similar technology).
• Bachelor's degree with a concentration of 18 hours in Counseling, Education, Management, Human Resources, Human Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or Organizational Behavior

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree is highly desired
• Recognized Coaching Certification

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the daily instruction on the following courses, based on the teaching requirements schedule provided quarterly by the client. Instructors may be used in different courses and/or learning activities, depending on individual course/webinar workload, when courses are not in session, or registration is below student/instructor ratio expectations.
• Performance Management Coaching for Supervisors and Leaders (PMCSL) Instructors
• Performance Coaching for USAF Organizations (PCO)

• Provide Coaching skills training in other CLDS courses or learning events as requested by the client.
• Develop and maintain a Faculty Portfolio on every instructor according to Eaker Center policy and will provide portfolios as requested for review or inspections.
• Schedule faculty evaluations once a year as prescribed by Eaker Center policy. Submit evaluations to the MST Deputy Program Coordinator as requested for review or inspections.
• Review course surveys when provided for instructional-related feedback and make adjustments as necessary in coordination with the Government.
• Follow all schedules, policies, and procedures for instructors described by Department of the Air Force, AETC, Air University, Eaker Center, and CLDS guidance.
• Serve as primary reviewer providing feedback as necessary for student progress in online discussion boards, assessments, exercises, quizzes, and other interactive activities for participation.
• Serve as focal point for all student questions during courses.
• Assist students with issues (e.g., registration, disenrollment, completion, etc.) by coordinating with Student Support.
• Serve as online course support for other assigned course instructor(s) (e.g., additional support for online collaboration tools) as needed.
• Instructors will also be used to instruct in other CLDS programs, workshops, and other civilian professional development activities to provide similar performance when not actively engaged in instruction or direct support of assigned courses.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Appearance: All personnel shall be attired in business casual clothing for daily work. Attire worn should always ensure employees safety from working conditions (long pants, appropriate shirts and close toe shoes as required): on occasion, staff may be required to wear a business dress for certain activities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.
