Position Summary

At HackerOne, we take investment in in-person events seriously. Our events mix comprises a critical piece of our strategy to drive awareness and demand for HackerOne's offerings. As Senior Corporate Events Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in end-to-end event management, from strategy to planning and execution to ROI analysis and optimization, to help us reach our awareness, demand, retention, and revenue goals.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead end-to-end event management for HackerOne's most strategic Tier 1 sponsored events, such as RSA and Black Hat, as well as our key HackerOne-led event series, including our Security@ roadshow. This role reports to the Sr. Vice President, Marketing & Community and located remotely in the United States.


What You Will Do
  • Event Strategy and Planning:

    • Lead the planning and execution of 4-6 major tradeshows & conferences annually, including strategy development, customer, partner, & internal stakeholder coordination, event logistics, staffing, budget management, content/speaker agendas, partner sponsorships, and onsite management, pre- and post-event communications, meeting setting logistics, and post-event ROI analysis.

    • Lead HackerOne's signature Security@ regional conference program; working closely with regional marketing teams to define OKRs, venue sourcing, vendor selection, vendor relations, and event logistics; and owning strategy, branding, content / agenda planning, internal and external communications, partner sponsorships, speaker selection and confirmation, event attendee recruitment, on site execution, pre- and post-event comms, follow up, and ROI analysis.

    • Own the conference circuit speaking strategy, partnering with subject matter experts across the organization and at client and partner organizations to develop engaging content that drives event attendance and engagement.

    • Manage HackerOne's calendar of events, working closely with regional marketing and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and share in a consistent, easy to consume way.

    • Coordinate with marketing, community, and sales teams to ensure alignment of event strategies with corporate objectives.

    • Oversee event budget allocation and resource management to ensure effective utilization of resources.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building:

    • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, stakeholders across the industry, and internal teams.

    • Collaborate with product marketing and communications teams on call for proposals/speaking submissions and brand standards for proprietary events.

  • Post-Event Analysis and Reporting:

    • Conduct retrospectives and recaps post-event to analyze event performance and provide recommendations for future events.

    • Measure pipeline and revenue contribution for Tier 1 events and report findings to the executive team.

  • Process Improvement and Standardization:

    • Develop and implement new standard operating procedures for internal stakeholders and events agency for Tier 1 events.

    • Manage SWAG inventory and AWS partnership event management as a global Tier 1 partner.

    • Proactively explore emerging techniques, trends, innovations, and creative experiential solutions and guide HackerOne on how/where these should be implemented to increase the impact of our in-person events.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant corporate event management experience in the B2B technology industry.

  • Proficient in orchestrating both third-party trade shows and bespoke company events, including user conferences.

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Exudes confidence and excels in rallying teams towards common goals.

  • Demonstrated expertise in budget management and adept at constructing and overseeing budgets of up to $1M.

  • Experience managing multiple agencies and projects concurrently.

  • Intermediate to expert experience with major marketing tech tools such as Asana, Salesforce, etc., and event technology tools like Zoom events, Hopin, and Swoogo.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to get buy-in at all levels.

  • Results-oriented team player with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience running global event programs with regional focuses

  • Solid understanding and/or experience in the cybersecurity space

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup, fostering agile collaboration and rapid iteration across teams.

Compensation Bands:

Tier A: $128,000 - $150,000

Tier B: $111,400 - $140,000

Tier C: $108,800 - $136,000

Compensation Range: $108.8K - $150K
