Client Summary:
The Health System is designed to increase efficiencies and economies of scale; improve quality and outcomes; and expand access to advanced primary, specialty, and ambulatory care services throughout a wide clinical network. The Health System includes more than 7,200 physicians, including general practitioners and specialists, and 13 free-standing joint-venture centers.



Job duties include, but are not limited to:
* Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
* Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
* Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. Adheres to established infection control policies and procedures.
* Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; processing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
* Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records (including the completion and verification of exams.
* Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
* Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies;
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by maintaining regulatory CME requirements. Attends educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Completes yearly Age Specific Competency
* Other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, Minimum Licensing Requirements: New York State License (L.R.T), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified)

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

* 2 + years of experience required
* N.Y. State Dept. of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist
* Competency in performing diagnostic procedures, excellent communication skills in a team environment, quality focus,
planning, people skills, dependability, creating a safe, effective environment.

Shift/Schedule:
SUNDAY-THURSDAY. Facility Hours - Sunday and Saturday 8:45- 5:30pm Monday to Friday: 8:30 to 8:30pm Flexible Hours - 5 day work week

Contract Length:
13 Weeks
