Overview

Support senior staff in executing recruit membership presentations regarding Navy Federal Credit Union membership; provide an overview of a full range of products and services including depository accounts, lending products and credit/debit cards. Work with senior staff to develop presentation proficiency; may present to small groups on specific products or services or larger groups under guidance from senior staff. Work is performed under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior staff in delivering comprehensive presentations to recruits during recruit training and in-processing
  • Present to recruits on Navy Federal's digital channels and assist in establishing digital services to include Navy Federal Online and Mobile Banking
  • Prepare membership packets, collect and edit account information, open accounts, establish direct deposits, and process credit card applications and certificates
  • Respond to basic inquiries regarding Navy Federal products, services, and membership eligibility
  • Identify and coordinate resolution of issues that occur during membership activities (e.g., automated systems and vendor supply problems)
  • Support branch financial briefs and member acquisition events
  • Perform moderately complex platform banking functions to include new account opening, digital services, credit card and basic consumer loan applications and debit card servicing
  • Understand member needs, provide quality service, and respond quickly and accurately to member requests for information
  • Counsel current and prospective members about Navy Federal's products and services
  • Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
  • Identify patterns of activity indicating possible fraud or account abuse
  • Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services
  • Develop knowledge of Navy Federal products/services, security updates, fraud alerts, policies, procedures, marketing initiatives, etc.
  • Provide functional/operational support to the branch/region as dictated by workload and business need
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of savings products, checking products, accounts and services
  • Familiarity with cross servicing techniques and member engagement methods

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with public speaking in a professional and/or corporate setting
  • Experience in training or adult education
  • Experience in member/customer service positions, preferably in a call center, retail banking or financial institution
  • Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
