Senior DevOps Engineer

Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer with proven experience working with DevOps, Terraform Expert, Azure, AWS, and Python and experienced with Gitbucket and DevOps tools.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with development teams to automate and streamline operations and processes.
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
  • Fix and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.
  • Enhance code quality through implementing automated builds and test frameworks.
  • Ensure security standard methodologies are integrated into the DevOps processes.
  • Drive adoption of cloud technologies for improved scalability and performance.
  • Optimize existing systems for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices.
  • Proven experience with GIT, AWS Code Deploy, and GitBucket is mandatory. -
  • Strong understanding of branching strategies and automated build processes is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with static code analysis, CI build & reporting, and build acceptance validation is advantageous.
  • Experience with artifact deployment and CD-quality gates setup is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Bamboo, and CircleCI is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in Payer is good to have but not mandatory.
  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
  • We are seeking a seasoned Sr. DevOps Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related Engineering subjects
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation, Leading the design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GIT, AWS Code Deploy, and GitBucket, with a preference for those with additional skills in CI/CD and Sr. DevOps Engineer / Terraform Expert level
  • This role is pivotal in enhancing our deployment strategies and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
  • Experience with skills like Terraform Expert GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, AKS, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Go Lang, DevSecOps tools, SonarQube, Veracode
  • Skill Nice to have : PowerShell, Bamboo, Gradle, Node js, Travis CI, Codeship, CircleCI, Octopus Deploy, Grunt, Packer, Bitbucket, Jenkins Cloud Bees, Rundeck, TeamCity, XL Deploy, MS-Build, Gulp, VSTS, Maven, GitLab, Spinnaker, DevOps, Azure DevOps, GO, AWS CodeBuild, AWS Code Commit.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 43,900 to 133,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
