Position Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our R&D team, reporting directly to the Director of Business Operations. You will be partnering very closely with our engineering leaders, finance, and HR teams to optimize how we collect and report on R&D operational efficiency and key financial metrics. You are someone who will roll up your sleeves and dig into the details of our engineering and hosting cost across the entire PAR product portfolio and translate/present your findings and recommendations to the senior leadership team. This role will allow you to work cross functionally and get exposure to the senior leadership at PAR as well as to the different business units.

The base salary range for this position is $95,300 to $120,000 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education and prior accomplishments. This position may be eligible for additional compensation including a bonus, commission and/or equity as applicable.

What We're Looking For

  • Expertise in FinOps: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial operations, with a focus on optimizing costs and maximizing efficiency within a SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana).
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for technology and its application in the restaurant industry.
  • Strong Data Analytics experience: Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial data and extracting actionable insights.
  • Strategic Problem-Solving: Ability to identify complex issues, develop creative solutions, and drive implementation to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Adept at working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving collective goals and driving results with minimal guidance. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and precision whiles not losing sight of the bigger picture objectives.

What You will Do and Be Responsible For

  • Financial Analysis: Utilize your expertise in data analysis, Financial reporting and FinOps to optimize financial processes and drive strategic decision making within the R&D department.
  • Operational Metrics Reporting: Develop operational metrics for the R&D leadership team, the Executive leadership team and the Board of Directors of PAR, based on financial data and R&D specific inputs across our suite of products to inform our business decisions. Present these insights in an effective and succinct way with a focus on actionability and ensure these are reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including the FP&A team and R&D leadership, to communicate complex and detailed financial and operational concepts effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for process improvement and optimization. Use data-driven insights to make recommendations and drive continuous enhancements within the R&D department.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to cost management and efficiency within the R&D department. Develop mitigation recommendations and strategies to ensure the R&D team meets their goals.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with software developers and engineers to understand how technical aspects of our solutions align with business objectives.
