DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Children & Youth Assistant Administrator 1 works under senior administrators and is responsible for the supervision of agency program managers and supervisors as well as the review, analysis, and development of operational policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include coordinating positive relationships between agencies and representing the Agency Administrator at select meetings with the public, judiciary, state officials, and local officials concerning the functions and programs of the agency when necessary. This position also oversees staff training and development with expertise in case management and aids managers, supervisors, and caseworkers in crisis intervention work. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in the field of public or private social work, including one year working with children and youth in an administrative or supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
