DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Clerk Typist 1 is a responsible clerical position which performs general clerical duties including, but not limited to, answering phones, data entry, filing, typing, mathematical calculations, and communicating with tenants and landlords. This position greets visitors as they enter the office, handles transactions, and assists with residential problems and requests. Attention to detail is essential for proofreading, typing, and copying information to provide office support as part of our team.

The HACE exists to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing for lower-income families and people who are elderly or have disabilities. We strive to help our residents achieve economic self-sufficiency and we try to instill a sense of community and pride in the neighborhoods where they reside. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  • Possession of the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Erie County. If no eligible candidates who live within Erie County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
