About the Position

Do you have strong analytical skills and the ability to pay close attention to details? Then consider applying for our Justice System Clerk position!

As a Justice System Clerk, you will create and update case files within the county case management programs (iCIS and JustWare). You will also be responsible for reading and analyzing information that will be used to create and update the cases for court calendars. This role requires strong teamwork and the ability to meet daily deadlines with a focus on accuracy to ensure that the proper information is available to the attorneys representing our clients.

Upon successful completion of initial training, this position has the option to choose among several hybrid or flexible schedule options, including the potential to work up to 5 days from home each pay period.

We Require

  • Two years of experience performing office, administrative, and clerical duties in a legal, court, or justice system environment

  • High school diploma or GED

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions

  • Use a computer to access and update case management systems (iCIS, JustWare) in the main office or at a satellite office

  • Answer inquiries and assist internal and external customers with electronic or physical case files or records requests either in-person or by telephone

  • Sort or classify information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria, or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order

  • Obtain information from courts and staff to update case files, court calendars, and case management systems

  • Create digital case files and occasionally hard files, organize material, and affix labels

  • Transport and destroy (shred) case files

Working Conditions

  • Work primarily occurs in a business office setting

  • Ability to lift 25-30 pounds from the floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead, carry 25-30 pounds a distance of 100 feet or push/pull 25-150 pounds a distance of 300 feet

  • Must obtain a valid Arizona driver's license upon hire
