Overview

The Developmental Disabilities Services Division is seeking a professional to join our team in program consulting, planning, implementation, monitoring and management for the statewide DDSD's Crisis and Clinical resources. Quality oversight monitoring and program development work at a professional level involving the planning and assurance of basic health, safety and rehabilitative needs of children with developmental disabilities and their families for the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living. This class requires extensive interaction with state agencies, community service providers, and other organizations.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in both a standard office setting and in the field for which private means of transportation should be available. Incumbents are subject to a variety of stressful situations while evaluating and improving support services for people with developmental disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years or more working in direct care or supervision of people with developmental disabilities, or in a crisis intervention program.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a human service related field.

One (1) or more years in a supervisory role

Special Requirements

Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
