JOB DESCRIPTION:

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking Sorters and Production associates for a Large Linen Supply Company in South Sacramento, CA. This company has been a leader in the linen and uniform laundry service since 1930.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Production Staff are responsible for industrial laundry production flow activities under the direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager of the operating plant
• Operate press equipment
• Process laundry in plant established lot order
• Maintain production floor distribution
• Shake, sort by route and sequence by route while laying out items prior to pressing
• Classify and lay out items for pressing
• Check for needed repairs on items
• Lift garments and/or linen onto line storage system
• Trolley garments and/or linen for truck pick-up
• Load trollies into trailers

Job Requirements:

• Insure colleagues practice safety procedures at all times
• Additional duties as assigned
• The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
• Prior experience working in a warehouse
• Reading and writing comprehension, computer and math skills typically associated with a high school level education
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to follow directions 
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Must be dependable and have excellent attendance

Monday – Friday,

 

PAY RATE:

$17 an hour
