Job Title: Laundry Linen Attendant - Taylor Made Deep Creek Vacations

Job Summary:

VTrips is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for processing laundry, including sorting, washing, draping, folding, ironing, and organizing linen. This individual will ensure that the cleanliness of all linens is maintained by the department at all times.

Essential Functions:

• Receive linen bins and keep counts.
• Sort all linens and treat stains.
• Load all laundry into the washer and add specified cleaning agents.
• Take wet, clean items and dry them as directed.
• Sort and fold or hang clean dried items.
• Operate washers, dryers, towel folders, sorting stations, and rolling stations.
• Place and organize linens in appropriate areas for housekeepers.
• Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to the Supervisor.
• Maintain all laundry equipment and inform the Supervisor of any maintenance needs.
• Work as a team player with other team members to accomplish work assignments.
• Provide a safe and clean environment at all times.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding safety.
• Use protective equipment when working with soiled linens and possess the ability to learn the procedures for processing isolation linens.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. The schedule varies based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Commercial laundry experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background screening.

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:

• Sitting – 5%, Walking/Standing – 95%. Required to stoop, bend, stretch, twist, and reach. Regularly lift 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Must be able to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Organize and multitask.
• Open availability is a must - weekends and most holidays are required.
• Exposure to and working with household chemicals. Moderate to heavy noise level when equipment is operating.
