Job Summary:

Creates Submittal and Shop drawings packages using SolidWorks and Draftsight.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Interpret Sales contracts, drawings, and sketches to produce a drawing submittal package using SolidWorks.
• Produce accurate and detailed shop drawings using SolidWorks.
• Identify, resolve or question discrepancies as necessary and report to the manager.
• Comprehend vender product specifications.
• Produce drawings using SolidWorks/Draftsight.
• Create & respond to emails using Outlook regarding drafting projects.
• Create drafting library content.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Research and resolve custom projects and report results to manager.
• Coordinate with Sales and Engineering departments to ensure project accuracy and completion.

Physical Demands:

• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
• Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations sound.
• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc)

Work Environment:

• The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.).

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate. Some College preferred, but not required.
• Experience or Education as a CAD drafter is required.
• Three Plus additional years of drafting experience required.
• SolidWorks experience 3 Years minimum. (Systems and program solutions
