Packaging Technical Operator

Sconza Candy Company in Oakdale, California, has been manufacturing premium chocolate and confectionery products since 1939. Our Company is one of the largest manufacturers of panned products in North America; producing primarily private label products for some of the world's largest retail and CPG Companies. Our 500,000 square foot facility is located in Oakdale, California, approx 95 miles east of the San Francisco Bay Area and approx 95 miles south of Sacramento.

Our Packaging Technical Machine Operators work in a fast paced environment and perform a variety of work on bagging machines. You'll be responsible for performing film changes, program operation changes and adjustments, code date set-up and adjustment, product line and product allergen changeovers and more!

Essential duties:

• Set-up the adjustment needed to obtain the specific weight of each product run on the line
• Calibrate and test metal detectors
• Understand and comply with all HACCP, CGMP, and food safety requirements
• Notify production supervisor of any/all production stoppages and reports malfunction of equipment immediately to supervisor

Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma or State issued equivalency, or one year of related experience and/or training
• Ability to read and write in order to understand formulas and procedures, for the completion of daily reports
• Manufacturing experience and/or training helpful
• Knowledge of PLC control
• Ability to be flexible (shifts, days, and hours)
• Must be 18 years of age
