Assembler - 3rd shift

To fit, assemble and dismantle various pumps casings and component parts to build or rebuild centrifugal pumps. Visually inspect for defective parts on customer returned pumps.

• Assembles, dismantles and fits castings and component parts using wrenches, screwdrivers, files, taps, grinders and other hand tools.
• Fits motors on castings and align them to the pump.
• Measure components and sub-assemblies for proper fit and alignment.
• Interprets drawings, technical specs, and work instructions to execute assembly operations.
• Checks parts for assembly against bills of material and reports shortages or irregularities.
• Visually inspect parts for defects, damage or wear.
• Move parts and assemblies using overhead and jib cranes to position and facilitate assembly.
• Keeps Immediate work area clean and orderly.

• Ability to read drawings and technical documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude to fit and align components.
• Ability to use tools to deburr, fit, align and assemble component parts involving tight tolerances.
• Capability to use precision measuring instruments and record results.
• Ability to manually lift parts weighing 35-50 pounds.

Working Hours:

1st shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm

2nd shift - 3:30pm to 12:00am

3rd shift - 10:30pm to 7:00am
