Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Purpose:

Paliot Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and maintaining a smooth workflow in the shipping and receiving department. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and process incoming materials into inventory.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company procedures and carrier specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including tracking information, serial numbers, and quantities.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries and ensure timely shipping and receiving of materials.
• Inspect shipments for damages or defects and report any discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
• Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
• Assist in inventory management tasks, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and identifying discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, warehouse, and customer service, to fulfill orders and resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to shipping, receiving, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Positive and friendly attitude.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping preferred.
• Excellent organizatio
  nal and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis.
• Stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
