Bulk Stocker


Purpose: To assist co-bulk buyer(s) in maintaining a well-stocked and clean bulk department.

Status: Reports to Grocery Manager


Pay Level 1


Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Daily stocking of all bulk foods and herbs.
  • Maintain clean displays.
  • Assist co-bulk buyer(s) with daily replenishment orders as needed.
  • Receive orders not handled by Receiver following established procedures.
  • Identify/anticipate stocking priorities and advise delegated helpers.
  • Organize front and back receiving areas, back stock and store supplies.
  • Provide training and guidance to bulk pack co-workers, as needed.
  • Assist with inventory control.
  • Participate in inventory counts as needed.
  • Inform grocery manager and co-bulk buyer(s) of low stock items or repeated customer products requests.
  • Be responsible for safety in the workplace by creating a safe work environment, reporting safety concerns to a manager or member of the Safety Committee, and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow department policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment where teamwork and constant communication are essential.
  • Ability to be physically present onsite at the Co-op to perform the requirements of this position.
