Job Description & Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems for clients as assigned. The Journeyman Electrician will work under the supervision of Master Electrician. Work is often outdoors and working conditions range from frigid to hot temperatures, high winds, flying dust, slipping hazards and conditions, and frequently exposed to loud noise from heavy equipment and machinery.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Working in areas such as Midland, Odessa, New Mexico, Big Spring & Snyder
  • Learn and adhere to Pneumatech' s safety policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshooting & problem solving; diagnosing complex electrical systems and equipment
  • Quality Control; ensuring all work is performed to a high standard of quality
  • Communication and collaboration with other techs and supervisors to ensure projects are being completed on time. Providing project updates and status reports
  • Ensuring safety in the workplace by following safety protocols and procedures, wearing appropriate safety equipment, and identifying potential hazards
  • Direct project team leads throughout break fixes and project completion
  • Knowledgeable of NEC and OSHA standards

  • Maintain tools, vehicle, equipment, and keeping parts and supplies in order.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrated problem solving capability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Desire to increase job knowledge by participating in learning opportunities and continuous improvement classes specific to job functions.
  • Automation, Controls & PC skills are a plus.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

  • Current Texas Journeyman License
  • Minimum 1-year electrical experience (2+ years of electrical experience preferred)
  • Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher level
  • Basic computer knowledge (windows, email, internet, etc.)
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Reading skills (basic instructional and technical information)
  • Must have a clean driving record
