Metal Building Erector
United Talent is immediately hiring a Metal Building Erector in Parkersburg, WV! As a Metal Building Erector, you will be responsible for the assembly and installation of prefabricated metal structures, ensuring they are constructed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of metal building construction techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
- Organize and prepare work areas by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety measures are in place.
- Assemble and install metal building components including structural steel frames, wall panels, roofing systems, doors, and windows.
- Use hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and welders to cut, shape, and fasten metal components.
- Erect and secure structural components according to engineering specifications and building codes.
- Install insulation, vapor barriers, and other materials as required for weatherproofing and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with other construction team members, including contractors and subcontractors, to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper procedures for working at heights.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets established standards and specifications.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to provide progress updates and address any issues or concerns that arise during construction.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and excellence in all aspects of the job.
Pay & Shift:
Pay starts at $20/hr, negotiable based on experience.
Monday through Friday, 7AM-3:30PM

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in metal building construction or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
- Strong knowledge of metal building assembly techniques, including framing, welding, and fastening methods.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- Certification in welding or other relevant trades is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass drug screening.
