Looking for an opportunity to grow as a pharmacy professional in a nationally recognized FQHC? PCHC is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to serve as a float covering PCHC Pharmacy Locations! In this role, you’ll work within integrated care teams to provide high-quality care and service to our patients. You’ll partner with pharmacists and other pharmacy and clinic team members to accurately dispense medications and maintain inventory, equipment, and records. You must have spectacular customer service, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to maintain a safe and clean environment. Pharmacy Technician experience is also required. Apply today!

Schedule: Full-Time, Typically Monday-Friday (NOTE: This position floats to cover pharmacy locations in Brewer, Bangor, Old Town, and Belfast. The home location is Brewer Medical Center. Pharmacy is typically open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 9am-1pm. Mileage is reimbursable per PCHC's Business Expense Policy.)

Highlights of the position:

  • Provides high quality customer service to our patients by demonstrating respect, kindness, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Provides direct support to pharmacists in the preparation, organization, and dispensing of medications.
  • Maintains pharmacy inventory, anticipating needed medications and supplies, and placing/expediting orders as appropriate.
  • Performs pharmacy cashier functions, collecting and reconciling payment for prescriptions and pharmacy merchandise.
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Engages and supports patients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.
  • Collaborates with pharmacy and practice teams to improve the patient experience and clinic processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of recent experience as pharmacy technician required.
  • Registered with the Maine State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician required.
  • Having a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and/or an appropriate length of driving experience for insurance purposes is required. Any concerns raised by the results of a driving record check will be subject to an individualized review to determine whether the infraction is relevant to the individual’s ability to perform the responsibilities of the position in accordance with PCHC’s Automobile Safety and Background Check Policy.
