JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Information Technology Technician JOBCODE: 635157
DEPARTMENT: Department of Information Technology
REPORTS TO: Information Technology Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Respond to all user requests. Perform preventive maintenance on all company computers and peripherals. Must be able to install, configure, update, and repair computer hardware, software, printers, and other peripherals. Advanced knowledge of all Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and networks is required. Need to be available for day or evening shifts any day of the week.
TASKS:
- Create tickets for all user requests and tasks in the KACE Management system.
- Perform a daily property walk through to seek out and resolve IT related problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on computers by the schedule.
- Keep IT Tech Shop work area and storage room clean and organized.
- Assist IT Manager with current inventory of IT equipment and components.
- Load and/or unload all software deemed necessary by IT management.
- Contact software and/or hardware vendors to resolve problems critical to business operations, if after IT office hours.
- On call shifts in case of computer, peripheral or system failures.
- Other duties as requested by management.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:
Mississippi Gaming Commission Gaming Work Permit
EDUCATION OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
4 years job experience in the IT field, preferably casino IT, or an Associate degree in an IT Technology program.
