SUMMARY: The Dining Service provides information, superior customer service, and a clean and welcoming environment to students at the Skyway Cafe. As a service provider for Skyway Café, student staff are expected to be courteous, competent and professional. Some general expectations include honesty, professionalism in appearance and attitude, providing undivided attention to each student/guest, arriving to work on time, and maintaining confidential information.
The Dining Service Student Worker must uphold the philosophy and mission of California Aeronautical University while instilling positive and progressive attitude in all employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS include but are not limited to the following:

COMPLIANCE:
• Responsible for compliance with all local, state, accreditation and federal regulations
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and security of campus files, documents and reports.
• Ensure and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Responsible for complete and accurate timekeeping.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Conduct all duties and responsibilities ethically and professionally
• Communicates student/customer concerns, needs and equipment malfunctions to management staff.
• Utilize organizational skills to stock inventory, maintain regular sanitation checks, and ensure all cooking utensils, tools, and equipment are in the proper location.
• Works in all areas of the dining center.
• Works independently and with other staff.
• Responsible for opening and closing assigned FOH or BOH work area(s).
• Follows written and verbal instructions.
• Leverage technical and numerical proficiency to manage student/customer Card transactions on a POS system.
• Required to obtain a Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment
• Assisting Chef's/Cooks with Meal Service
• Safely operate and maintain all following equipment used in food production and service.
• Clean up and reset station and take care of leftover food.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Other duties as required.
