Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Long Term Care Billing Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy billing processes, particularly within the long term care setting. The Long Term Care Billing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of billing operations related to our long term care facilities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Located in Olathe, KS, we serve local nursing homes, group homes and other similar facilities. (business hours 9am-6:30pm M-F).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of billing operations for long term care facilities serviced by AuBurn Pharmacy.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including pharmacy, to ensure timely and accurate billing processes.
  • Review and analyze billing data to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and optimize revenue cycle management.
  • Submit Prior authorizations
  • Set up hospice admins and billing information
  • Medicaid reconciliation
  • Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and requirements related to long term care pharmacy services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to billing team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients to address billing inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on billing performance metrics and trends as well as completing month end reports
  • The billing team also manages our Flu and COVID immunization clinics in our nursing facilities.

Ideal candidates should display the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills, provide an outstanding work ethic and ability to learn Framework LTC Software, SAGE Accounting Software, Billing Tree and Etactics. The candidate must be a Kansas Registered Pharmacy Technician, or become registered with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy prior to start date. Nationally Certified Technician and previous work experience in a Long term Care pharmacy is preferred. Will train the right person.
