Job Title: QUALITY ENGINEER
Reports to: PRODUCTION CONTROL MANAGER (PCM)
Job Summary: This role will be ensuring all products in the company meet the set quality standards, including assessing the production process, creating new manufacturing checkpoints, testing the products, and generating reports on the products or results.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Directs Plant Quality Assurance efforts with emphasis on identification and solution of process, material or labor problems.
  • Compiles and develops training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Manage quality system, process and product compliance audit in assigned manufacturing areas.
  • Manages Quality Assurance Systems to include the maintenance of warranty data, in-plant scrap data, compliance data, SNR's, customer concerns, etc.
  • Familiar with 8D and KT analysis; interface with customers both OEM and aftermarket to resolve quality issues/concerns.
  • OEM Quality Audit Experience: Previous involvement in quality audits for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), possessing a clear understanding of audit processes and requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF16949, and responsible for plant Quality Control systems to ensure that controls are functioning in the areas of process, purchased material and final product quality.
  • Champion special quality & improvement projects as assigned by Management team; Responsible for identification evaluation and implementation of Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) within the Manufacturing site.
  • Familiar with Six Sigma and Lean principles.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

PROFICIENCY IN CHINESE MANDARIN is a PLUS

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical fields.
· 5 years of QA experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive highly preferred.
· Knowledgeable in program launch processes and CSR.
· Proficient in Excel, Power point and Statistics analysis such as Minitab a plus.
· Experience in IATF, PPAP, SPC and other quality standards.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a QA Team within a manufacturing environment; automotive preferred.

Work Environment:
We are a Battery manufacturing company. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with and near large machinery and equipment daily, the employee will be exposed to a variety of Health and Safety hazard and will be required to ALWAYS adhere to all Health and Safety rules and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Physical Demands:
The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
