Description
Responsible for ensuring assembly functions have the appropriate amounts of supplies for production. 


Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Maintains weekly schedules for the assembly functions. Prepares and distributes daily production information as required. 
  • Maintains and verifies counts against inventory control documents and makes adjustments. 
  • Coordinates and distributes manufacturing schedules. 
  • Communicates with internal customers.  
  • Manages work-in-progress inventory levels. 
  • Reviews inventory items using current item forecasts, MRP reports, backlogs, and inventory levels. 
  • Prepares and issues various reports. 
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

  • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides numbers (using currency and other forms of measurement).

  • Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation. 
  • Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree. 
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks. 
  • Uses noncomplex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.). 
 
Education and Experience 
  • Equivalent of four years of high school (required). 
  • Three to five years of relevant education or experience in quality control, logistics, or a related area (required). 
 
Computer Skills 
  • Intermediate: Spreadsheet, database. 
  • Basic: Alphanumeric data entry, word processing/typing. 
 
Certificates and Licenses 
  • None. 
 
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES 
  • While performing the functions of this job, the employee is: 
  • Continually required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. 
  • Occasionally required to sit. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
