Sanitation Lead

The Sanitation Technician position is a role that supports the sanitation and cleaning practices and requirements. This role entails working with the Quality technicians to ensure sanitary conditions before, during, and after production hours.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation duties as required, this includes general housekeeping tasks, custodial work around the facility (both inside and outside as necessary) and general production area cleaning.

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble processing equipment as required

• Perform cleaning of high hygiene process areas.

• Strictly adhere to all applicable standard operating procedures – SOP's and SSOP’s

• Properly record information related to cleaning and sanitation tasks.

• Help ensure compliance with GMP policies and good housekeeping throughout the plant.

• Any special projects or other duties assigned by supervisor

• Expected to adhere to all facility GMPs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Must have at leas 3 years of work experience in a food manufacturing facility (Experience in cleaning the equipment, Belts, Conveyors, Industrial Bakery Mixers, assembling and disassembling machines, etc.).

• Must have the ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English/Spanish sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position.

• Complete understanding of GMPs, cleaning & sanitation protocols, food safety principles.

• Role model to team members by adhering to all safety and work policies, dress code, and hygiene requirements.

• Ability to utilize a ladder and other related safety equipment while following all safety procedures.

• Provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the U.S.

• Pass a background check.
