A local payroll service provider is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper! As the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for performing accounts receivable functions including deposits, collections, and revenue. This is a wonderful opportunity for a Candidate looking for a part-time opportunity!

What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintains and balances the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Reconciles sales tax, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month
- Performs accounts receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- Handles payroll by utilizing accounting software Aage 50 (Peachtree)
- Enters data, maintains records, and creates reports and financial statements
- Completes filing, both hardcopy and electronic
- Works with Staff Accountants as needed
- Monitors financial transactions and reports
Who We’re Looking For
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Knowledge of bookkeeping software
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask successfully
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work with highly confidential, sensitive documents and information while maintaining confidentiality
What You Can Expect
- $16.00 - $20.00/hr, based on experience
- Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
- Part-time, temporary assignment with an opportunity to be hired on for long-term employment
