Residential Maintenance Technician

Hire Connections is working with a Multi-Family Company in search of Maintenance Technicians! We are in search of Tech One and for Tech Two to join their team. Under minimal supervision, this individual will be responsible for performing maintenance and minor repairs for residential units. If you have basic knowledge or exposure in any of the following areas: plumbing, electrical, grounds work, and HVAC we would like to talk to you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Building Maintenance

• Prepares vacant units for occupancy.
• Performs daily common area and office cleaning and lite maintenance.
• Landscape maintenance - cuts, trims, edges, and waters grassy areas.
• Removes snow on public/common walks, stairs, and driveways.
• Ability to work with a variety of small tools, power tools and measuring devices.

Electrical

• Inspects, monitors, and performs minor preventative maintenance in sprinkler systems, electrical outlets, breakers, fixtures, and other duties as assigned.

Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

• Performs preventive maintenance to building HVAC systems for example changing filters.
• Install thermostats.
• Reads trouble signals on equipment and communicates that information to subcontractors and other departments.

Plumbing

• Performs minor plumbing repairs to include unclogging sinks and disposals.
• Changing faucets and washers.
• Monitors temperatures of boilers and common areas daily as required and where applicable.

Carpentry

• Repairs/replaces doors locks, latches, and screens.

Other

• Must be customer service oriented; supports and promotes good resident relations and services.
• Available and responsive to afterhours calls as requested.
• Completes work orders and other duties as assigned and qualified to perform.
• Must be punctual.

Minimum Educational Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience Requirements

• 1 year maintenance experience
• Ability to work with a variety of small tools, power tools and measuring devices
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, tools and equipment sufficient to be able to effectively clean units.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Education/Experience Equivalency

• A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.

License

• A valid Colorado driver license is required.
