Material Handler and Slitter Packagers starting at $20.75

SUMMARY

Tends processing machines such as steel pickling, galvanizing, and slitting machines that clean, coat and cut steel by performing the following duties. Similar/relatable experience is preferred.

ABOUT THE JOBS:

• Entry Level Positions assist with unloading, moving , and loading steel coils or banding/palletizing slit coils.
• Will complete cross training for other line positions.
• Can volunteer to work overtime to train.
• Some mandatory overtime required, including every other weekend.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. Employee is regularly required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The day is capped at 12 hours, if needed for overtime.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and up to six months of relatable experience or training. Must become certified to operate overhead crane and forklift.
