Staffing Inc is partnered with a client in Grand Ledge, MI who is actively looking to hire qualified individuals for an Electrician in the Controls Assembly Department who is ready to start as soon as possible! The ideal candidate will be able to complete a drug screen and background check, and more.
Benefits:
- $25-$31/hr; negotiable based on experience
- 1st shift
- 8-10 hour days
- Monday-Friday, some weekend overtime
Responsibilities:
- Wires production machinery per engineering supplied prints.
- Performs layout machine's electrical devices such as control panels, disconnects, junction boxes and related hardware per standards of customer.
- Assists with startup of new machinery.
- Debugs wiring as much as possible before starting up any machines.
- Disassembles machinery for shipment.
- Ensures power is locked out and/or disconnects from pain power sources before disassembly begins.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and routine housekeeping.
- Keep department manager aware of problems and shortages.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, memos, and correctly interpret blueprints.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Industrial electrical experience is a must.
