Great opportunity at beautiful Royal Dunes Resort! We need a hands-on, thinks "out of the box" general manager for a 56-unit timeshare resort in the Port Royal section of Hilton Head Island. Royal Dunes Resort has always delivered high quality vacation experiences to its' owners and guests. The General Manager works closely with the Homeowners and Board members, and is charged with general oversight and leadership of all resort operations.
The General Manager will establish daily priorities and will direct the ongoing activities of the department heads in key functional areas such as administration, front desk, maintenance, security, and housekeeping.
Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Oversight of the daily operation of the resort to include maintenance, housekeeping, and front office teams.
- Promote a culture focused on owner satisfaction through the maintenance of product and service quality standards.
- Liaise with the property accounting team to prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors that accurately portrays the financial position of the resort.
- Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
- Establishes and maintains applicable preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the Association.
- Promotes an "open door" policy and approach to employee communication, ensuring each individual feels like a valued member of the team.
- Deals with the general public, owners, transient guests, and others with tact and courtesy.
- Successful team members of comparable roles within our organization display and possess some combination of the following education, experience, and skills:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Complete understanding of hotel operations with prior GM experience preferred.
- Timeshare (vacation ownership) experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent team building and leadership skills.
- P&L and budgeting experience.
- Excellent Computer skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- High energy and strong work ethic.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to show flexibility in response to change and adopt new processes.
- Knowledge of safety management principle; federal and state OSHA regulations.
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
